Ways to Reduce Water Wastage in Home

1. 40% of all the water used in a house is beingflushed down the lavatory. No one wants all that water for that purpose. Usinglow flush tanks can solve this consumption. You decrease the tank space by puttinga bottle full of water or gravel in it. This will decrease water wastage insome extend. For example, if you live in a family of three and you put a halfliter bottle inside the flush tank, you will be saving 270 liters of waterevery month. And please, don’t use your toilet as an ashtray or dustbin.

2. 20 gallons of water per day can be exhausted in the course of very minuteleaks in faucets or pipes. The quantity can be multiplied if the seepout is larger. So often check the pipelines for leaks.

3. Using bath-tabs wastes a lot of water. Taking a shower consumes muchless water. And sincerely, I don’t think taking a shower of one hour is a “need”.

4. Closing the tap cautiously is a sensible obsession to do. Occasionally dueto lack of care we go away the tap running even after our work there is done.If a running tap drops one drop of water each second, you’ll have washedout 4 liters of water throughout your snooze. You can use a water meter tocheck for water leaks. Water meter can be a helpful tool for examination forany leaks.

5.Many citizens remain the water running while they are brushing their teethor washing dishes which is not at all a need. Please turn the tap off afteryou have wetted your toothbrush.

6. Wash numerous cloths together if achievable. Washing them one dress at atime, requires more water than washing multiples at on one occasion.

6. During the war in Rwanda, Bangladesh Army went there on a peace keepingmission on behalf of UN. They had to face with the problem of harsh lack ofwater there. To cope up with this difficulty they followed certain rules. I amnot requesting anyone to follow these rules. I am just pointing it out becauseI believe this is something that everybody should know.

* They laid a paper on their tableware and then served foodstuff so that thedishes would not need cleaning.

* They used and re-used water 3 times to put away less clean water. First theycollected the water they used in shower and re-used it to clean dirty clothing. Then lastly they re-used the similar water in toilets.

Gross? No. It’s called lack of water and the power of wishful thoughts.
